We are at war and the church is losing the battle.
According to Enrichment Magazine Summer 2011, 40 million U.S. Adults regularly visit pornography websites. 47% of Christians say pornography is a major problem in the home. 72% of men and 28% of women is the breakdown between men women who frequently visit pornography sites. Focus on the Family reported that 1/3 of the men in an average church congregation struggle with pornography. Each year we hear of more pastors stepping down from ministry because of their own struggle with sexual integrity.
But, there is hope. For the past 12 years, Shoulder to Shoulder (S2S) has been standing alongside men to help them win the battle against spiritual strongholds of lust in their lives. Jesus is using S2S to encourage men to press into God's word and apply His truth to their lives. Broken marriages are being restored and hope is renewed. Men who have lived for years with a veil of fear, unworthiness and shame, are experiencing spiritual freedom. We understand the pain and brokenness of each man and provide love, hope and accountability. There is no greater joy than to witness God's ever-increasing glory transform a man's life as he surrenders himself over to the healing grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As a Should 2 Shoulder sponsor, you can provide the total support needed for one man to overcome his personal addiction and live an overcoming life of victory for $180 per month. Our current program runs approximately one year. Through this year of pressing into Jesus and direct accountability we have seen truly amazing results.
The key to our success at S2S is that our men literally stand shoulder to shoulder by praying for one another, providing accountability and biblical guidance. Now, I am excited to invite you to come alongside and stand shoulder to shoulder with our men through your prayers and financial support.
